Turtle is embarking upon a new series of interviews with Ireland’s venerable elders, celebrating their courage, kindness and humour. In audio format, Turtle discusses life and its learnings with people across Ireland, bringing their invaluable memories to light and captivating voices for future generations.
Since 2001, when Turtle created the best-selling Vanishing Ireland series with the photographer, James Fennell, Turtle has interviewed a host of
elderly members of society about their lives and times. The books have received awards and global acclaim from the Irish diaspora.
The onset of Covid19 has prompted Turtle to record the older generation’s take on life, celebrating their courage, kindness and humour as they face into a new age of cocooning.
In audio format, Turtle's interview series records invaluable memories and captivates the voices of Ireland's most venerable elders.
By preserving the stories of the older generations, Turtle aims to inspire children and grandchildren to interview their own parents and grandparents, as well as older friends and neighbours, creating a record of memories for future generations.
